This pillar aims at contributing towards overcoming barriers in reading, comprehension, & engagement with key texts in social sciences through closed virtual reading rooms.
It will be run on a chapter based capsule spread over three months. The capsules will be curated at two levels to suit the needs of undergraduate and postgraduate scholars (Masters and PhDs).
The First Chapter is titled 'Approaching Texts in Social Sciences: Exercises in Reading, Understanding & Interpretation' and we plan to roll it out by March 2025.
This pillar aims at contributing towards facilitating research training through stand-alone informative sessions and subsequently more tailored courses, corresponding to different learning stages and needs.
We hope to offer sessions that cover each step of a student's research and academic journey, including Research Methodology and tools for Research, in addition to various practical components of writing and thinking about research.
From understanding what is 'research' to thinking about formulating a research question from drafting a research design, to sampling, from employing technology to work out citations, to publishing your research to disseminating it to a wider audience - we plan to comprehensively cover each aspect.
These sessions will run throughout the year, subject to demand and will be open to everyone who wishes to attend.
